Hello! Welcome to our handbook

It is a rare privilege to be able to build a new team and culture from the ground up, and we’re happy to share some of our process and learnings. There is now a tradition of software companies (e.g. Basecamp, Posthog, and GitLab ) making their handbooks both open source and public. We adopted an open handbook so that we can transparently make thoughtful decisions about culture and process.

This public version is the “high ceremony” portion of our handbook, like company policies. Our internal version includes all of this content plus day-to-day process items that we figure out and document as we go along.

Who is this for?

If you’re reading this, then it’s probably for YOU!

We decided to make this public version so that anyone who has a stake in knowing how we get our work done can take a look, and we especially had in mind folks who may be considering joining our team.
