Our benefits policies align with our self-management philosophy.

We provide flexible leave, as well as competitive benefits (e.g. Basic Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-term Disability) through our participation in a Professional Employment Organization (PEO).

Time Away from Work

Our paid leave time is self-managed and unlimited for full-timer permanent employees. Please see the Time Away from Work section for details.

Health Benefits

Our health benefits include “large-employer” health plan via Justworks, flexible spending account, dental, vision, telehealth, and access to One Medical (where available). Please see the health benefits section for details.

Retirement Plan

Cadence OneFive’s retirement plan is a SIMPLE IRA, under which the company contributes 2% of every employee’s salary. Employees can make additional contributions. See Ascensus’ website for more information and for fund options.

Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account

Dependent Care FSA allows you to pay for childcare expenses from pre-tax dollars. Please read the Justworks help page for more information. Note that the DC-FSA opt-in period is after the healthcare opt-in period.

Ancillary Insurance Benefits

The following benefits are provided at no cost to you:

  1. Short-term Disability Insurance: 60% to $1,500
  2. Long-term Disability Insurance: 60% to $10,000
  3. Life Insurance: 2x your salary
  4. Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance: 2x your salary
  5. Workers Compensation: The company providers worker’s compensation coverage for all employees pursuant to applicable law. All-Remote Reimbursements

You can also purchase supplemental life insurance at your own cost.

All-Remote Reimbursements

Because we are all-remote, we need to make sure that everyone has work environments that they find productive. These benefits are available after the probationary period.

  1. Connectivity Reimbursement: If you don’t have Internet connectivity, we’ll help you get online. The purpose of this reimbursement is to defray the cost of connectivity necessary for remote work. Up to $80 per month reimbursed for internet expenses, which may be via moble connectivity (e.g. adding a data hotspot plan to your phone).

  2. Remote Home Office Reimbursement: We’ll contribute toward the cost of laptops, peripherals, or equipment, and/or the cost of making your space comfortable and enjoyable place to work. Furniture and equipment that will help you be healthy (standing desks, for example) are particularly encouraged. Every laptop has an environmental impact. Folks who have personal laptops that work well for work may wish to consider using it until a new machine is needed. Available to full-time employees after 6 months of tensure; Up to $1500 total reimbursement every 3 years.

  3. Co-work / Coffee Shop Allowance: You’re not limited to working in your home. If you need a co-work membership (e.g. WeWork On Demand) or just want a change of pace at a coffeeshop, we’ll cost-share. If you participate in this benefit, you’ll receive a virtual credit card with a spending limit of $420 per quarter (Pro-rated for part-time employees).

Other Perks

  1. All casual, all the time: Please wear clothes that you find comfortable, keeping in mind context and who you’re interacting with. Likewise, please be OK with life happening around you showing up on screen. For example, kids/pets popping by is just how it is (and it’s no big deal).

  2. Autonomy: It is a wonderful thing to be in the driver’s seat of one’s own work and work-life balance. This is a perk that we provide eachother by cultivating horizontal practices.
