Health Benefits
In general, our philosophy on health benefits is that everyone should have what they need at affordable prices. If where we deem it possible and beneficial, we exceed the legal minimums and prevailing practices.

As we grow, we may discover that this formula is insufficient to meet the company’s needs – and in that case, we will change it. We will be transparent about what these expenses are, because we have to make decisions about them in the context of the company’s finances.
Health Insurance
We have four different medical plans offered through Aetna.

Full-Time Employee View Overview We provide an employer’s share that covers all but $50 per month of the employee’s premium for the base plan. For employees with additional coverage needs (i.e. “dependents”), we provide 50% of the base plan premium as the employer’s share.

Part-Time Employees View Overview Per Justworks, part-time staff must work an average of 30 hours per week to qualify for health coverage. We provide an employer’s share that covers 50% of the employee’s premium for the base plan, regardless of the plan selected.
Mental Health Benefits
These mental health benefits are available to folks who participate in our health plans:

Mental Health Claims The Affordable Care Act (Obama Care) requires that health insurance plans cover mental health services. Even for therapists who don’t take insurance payments directly, you can submit for reimbursement, and it all counts towards your deductible and out-of-pocket maximums, just like any other health service would. If you have a therapist, just submit your claims to Aetna via their client portal.

Virtual Counseling Teledoc offers virtual therapy. You get Teledoc automatically (but you have to sign up).

Chat/Asynch Counseling If you participate in one of “our” health plans, you also get access automatically to Talkspace, an app-baseed, asynchronous counseling.
Other virtual counseling options that seem to be in-network with Aetna are listed below. There is no language directly from Justworks or Aetna for the above services, so check individually, caveat emptor, all that.
Dental
The company pays 50% of all plans for both full and part-time employees.
Vision
Vision coverage is available, but there’s no company contribution.
Telehealth
Telehealth is provided through Teledoc.

One Medical
One Medical is a doctor’s office that takes same-day appointments. For services you may be using walk-in urgent care centers like City MD for, it’s possible that you may pay less at One Medical. You can also find primary care physicians there.
