Responsibilities

  1. Translate / adapt building science research and modeling methods to data-driven approaches backed by a modern data pipeline
  2. Design and document data cleaning and data quality assurance processes
  3. Referencing our product roadmap, identify gaps in our data sources and evaluate acquisition options
  4. Frame our data management culture, referencing our core values
  5. Identify opportunities to give back to the climate advocacy community through data collaborations

Skills & Competencies

All roles require our shared competencies for “managers of one”.

In addition:

  • Derives huge pleasure from helping subject matter experts engage with data in new-to-them ways
  • Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
