User Experience Designer | Product

User Experience Designers are responsible for ensuring that the product’s end users are happy when they interact with it, including ensuring that:

  • Product does things the user thinks are useful and valuable
  • Product behaves as the user expects it to behave
  • Figuring out how to make the product work is not cognitively taxing

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, mechanical engineers, and program managers to design UX solutions that meet user and business goals
  • Design and implement user research process
  • Define the UI and interactions for new and existing product features
  • Articulate the information architecture, workflows, and processes surrounding the user experience
  • Contribute to and direct design discussions by creating sketches, wireframes, process flows and prototypes
  • Establish design language and design system

Requirements

  • Highly analytical, data-driven approach to UX design
  • Understanding of UX theory and research, including various systems of principles and heuristics
  • Demonstrated experience identifying user groups, leading user research, and developing user profiles and journeys
  • Applied experience in designing and conducting usability tests
  • Ability to breakdown complex concepts and communicate them persuasively through visual, written, and oral means
  • Demonstrated background in interaction, visual, user interface, and user experience design, including mastery of commonly-used tools
  • Pixel perfect attention to detail during UI implementation
